2014 F.S.A.S.E. Scholarship Information

The Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections will award three $1,200 scholarships in 2014. Scholarship applicants must be accepted or enrolled in an accredited university or college as a junior or senior undergraduate student and have maintained a “C” grade-point average or above. Applicants must be registered voters who have lived in Florida a minimum of two years. Eligible students must be majoring in one of the following fields of study:

  • Political Science
  • Public or Business Administration
  • Journalism/Mass Communication

The Santa Rosa County Supervisor of Elections office will review applications, interview students and select one student to proceed forward. The student’s application, a written recommendation from the Supervisor of Elections office, and verified voter registration will then be submitted to the F.S.A.S.E. Scholarship Chair by April 16, 2014. The F.S.A.S.E. Scholarship Committee will select and announce three recipients from various Florida counties.

Applications must be submitted in the county in which the student is registered to vote. Applications and letters of recommendation must be received by the Santa Rosa County Supervisor of Elections Office by 4:30 p.m. March 17, 2014.
