DSC_0520Milton residents turned out in droves as the city celebrated its heritage at the annual Scratch Ankle Festival on March 14.

The festival, which is a way for non-profits to interact with the community and have a fund raiser, was held for the second consecutive year on North Willing Street in Milton.

Music, lots of food, art activities as well as games for the kids were just a few of the things which marked the second annual event under the direction of the City of Milton Parks Department.

According to Milton’s Parks Director John Norton the event was even better than last year.

“We are also really happy with the various organizations participating,” Norton said. “We had school groups, churches, girl scouts, boy scouts, civic organizations, as well as several youth programs participating again this year.”

As another Scratch Ankle event came to a close it was an event for young and old alike.
