Pickleball has arrived in Milton

Published on May 28, 2014 with 2 Comments

Pickleball might sound like a new game to many of you, but its origins date back to 1965.

Just a few days ago a group has started playing the sport at the Milton Community Center.

Individuals come to the Milton Community Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:30 a.m. to play this new racquet sport, which combines the elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis.

The game was first played in Bainbridge Island, Wash. In 1965.

The game is becoming popular among adults as a game for players of all skill levels.

For more information on this new sport contact the Milton Community Center at 983-5466 or e-mail miltonparks@ymail.com.
