The City of Milton Parks Department is announcing a small schedule change to the second half of the Bands on the Blackwater Concert schedule.

The final concert of the season set for Aug. 8 featuring the CrossTown Band has been moved to Aug. 9 at 6 p.m.

“It is unfortunate, but when we announced the extended schedule a conflict with a downtown activity was accidentally overlooked,” said Milton Parks Director John Norton. “The Glow Run, which is set for the night of Aug. 8, had been approved long before we decided to extend the Bands on the Blackwater concert schedule.”

Norton hopes this small change to close out the season will not be too much of an inconvenience to those who have been huge supporters of Bands on the Blackwater.”

“We were pleasantly surprised by the number of people who have turned out this year,” said Milton Parks and Recreation Director John Norton.

The CrossTown is sure to make music lovers happy when they perform.

Saturday, Aug. 9, will mark their second appearance this season for the band that specializes in a little bit of everything including classic rock, blues and everything in between.

The concert will be held on the stage on South Willing St. from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday evening.

Individuals are urged to bring their lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of music along the Blackwater River.

According to Norton, food and beverages will be available for purchase at the concert.
