“Kiderpillar School” Spring Opening

Published on April 13, 2015 with No Comments

Do you have a group of 10 or more people and want to visit the Panhandle Butterfly House?  Book a tour for “Kiderpillar School”, an award winning educational program.

Prescheduled tours will be available the week of April 27 through 31, and then Monday through Wednesday until Labor Day.

The tour visit consists of a basic lesson on butterfly conservation, the life cycle and habits of the butterfly followed by a journey through the vivarium, viewing live Florida butterflies, their nectar and host plants and the nursery demonstrating the wonder of metamorphosis.  Larger tours may have rotations on beneficial insects and the ecology of the panhandle’s estuaries.  “Kiderpillar School” meets FCAT Sunshine Standards.  Schedule a tour at grouptours@panhandlebutterflyhouse.org or call 623-3868.

Admission is free but donations are encouraged and appreciated.  Only through our visitors’ generosity are we able to offer the community our educational programs and an encounter with one of nature’s most beautiful creatures.

For more information, visit www.panhandlebutterflyhouse.org or call 850-623-3868.
