“We’re both Milton High School graduates,” said Baker. “We wanted to give back to our community. We wanted to have a place we could put our passion into, bring a different vibe and serve a great quality coffee.”

Their building, located at 5412 Stewart Street in Milton, just across from Milton High School, had been vacant for 7 years and they found the owner motivated for a lessor. “It was in decent condition. We had friends help with remodeling. We painted inside and out and love our location,” said Baker.
Holcomb said they wanted to add something great to Milton. “We love the fact the city now has cute little shops and great restaurants to bring value to our city. We are happy to be a part of that.” She said with Mama Latte’s she wants people to taste the quality in the coffee and enjoy the family atmosphere.
“That’s why the name Mama Latte’s,” said Baker. “We want a place where a mom can come and meet her friends and bring her children. We have a room set aside just for play dates; a place to gather.”
Only open for 5 months, the coffee shop is brand new. However, Baker said he couldn’t be happier with the business. “So far we’re healthy. We’re doing four times the amount of business than our first month,” he said. “We’re thankful the community is supporting us.”
The shop serves more than coffee, said Holcomb, as they have bagels, pastries, breakfast options, sandwiches, smoothies, iced coffees, teas and specialty coffees. Plus, a regular cup of coffee is an option, too.
