Tax Aide Volunteers from AARP Tax-Aide will be assisting with taxes at three Santa Rosa County libraries beginning in February. The AARP Tax-Aide program is the nation’s largest free, volunteer-run tax preparation and assistance service, providing service to millions of low- and middle-income taxpayers, with special attention to those ages 60 and older. Patrons are served on a first come-first served basis. Preregistration is not accepted and space is limited, so arrive early! - Gulf Breeze Library (through April 17) Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Milton Library (through April 13) Tuesdays and Wednesdays: 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Thursdays: 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
- Navarre Library (through April 15) Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Toddler Time – Navarre and Pace Libraries March 22 and 29 Toddler Time is a program for children 18 to 36 months of age who attend with a caregiver. One child and one adult register together for songs, stories, rhymes, and other fun activities. The spring session will begin March 22 and be held on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. at the Navarre and Pace libraries. This 20 minute program will last 6 weeks. Toddler Time requires registration at the Navarre Library or Pace Library. Space is limited. It is not a drop-in program. Registration is based on a first-come, first-served basis. Preschool Storytime Storytime programs are presented for preschool children ages 3-5 and include stories, finger plays, and action rhymes. Caregivers must remain in the library during storytime; however, they cannot accompany children into the programs. In consideration of all participants, programs will start promptly at the assigned times. In order to minimize distractions, latecomers will not be admitted. If this will be your first storytime visit, we invite you to come to the library before your first adventure to meet your storytime presenter, pick up a welcome packet, explore our children’s area, and enjoy a tour of the library! Friends of the Milton Library Meeting March 2, 1:30 p.m. The Friends of the Milton Library will meet on Thursday March 2 at 1:30. This meeting is open to all. Crafty Mondays in March – Navarre Library March 6, 13, 20, & 27, 2 p.m. Come flex your creativity with a variety of simple craft projects. Meet the Author: Sharla Dawn Gorder – Pace Library March 8, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Sharla Dawn Gorder, a Pensacola Beach resident and author, will be speaking and sharing from her book “My Vices Collide: A Celebration of Being a Little Messed Up.” Her book is a collection of funny and inspirational stories about “being all things to all people at all times and failing beautifully.” Copies of her book will be available for sale and her autograph. Coffee Talk Book Club – Gulf Breeze Library March 8, 6:30 p.m. The non-fiction book club meets at the Gulf Breeze Library study room on the second Wednesday of every other month. In honor of Women’s History Month, members should read a non-fiction book about any woman and be prepared to discuss their selection. Bereavement Support – Navarre Library March 10 and 24, 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Meeting are held at the Navarre Library on the second and fourth Fridays from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The sessions address grief support and offer assistance, love and listening ears to those grieving the loss of a loved one. All materials are provided and no reservation is required. There is no charge to participate. The Navarre Library is located at 8484 James M. Harvell Rd.

Third Fridays with UF/IFAS Extension – Gulf Breeze Library March 17, 10 a.m. The University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Services presents a monthly series on a variety of interesting topics with solutions for your life. They can provide information about agriculture, the environment, sustainable living, disaster preparation and recovery, 4-H youth development, family and consumer issues, and lawn and garden problems. This month’s topic is Fruit Trees for the Homeowner. The Gulf Breeze Library is located at 1060 Shoreline Dr.
Spring Break Movies – Milton Library March 17 & 24, 2 p.m. The Milton Library will host two movies during spring break. On March 17, enjoy a family friendly tale about the lives our pets lead when we are not home (rated PG). On March 24, you’ll join a strange doctor as he learns the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions (rated PG-13). Both movies will be shown at 2 p.m. in the Milton Library meeting room. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Milton Library. The Milton Library is located at 5541 Alabama St.
Game Night – Jay Library March 21, 3 – 6 p.m. Enjoy playing games? Join us for game night at the Jay Library. You can bring your own games from home, or play those provided by us. This event is open to all ages, and game groups are welcome. The Jay Library is located at 5259 Booker Ln.
AniManga Club – Gulf Breeze Library March 21, 4 p.m. Learn and share graphic art skills in a fun environment. The club meets on the third Tuesday of each month. The AniManga Club is dedicated to the enjoyment and promotion of animation, cartooning, and related arts. Bring your art, discuss techniques of drawing, cartooning, anime and manga art, as well as your favorite title and artists in those genres. The AniManga Club is open to youth in grades 6 – 8. Graphic Novel Book Club – Milton Library March 21, 5 p.m. Join fellow graphic novel enthusiasts at the Milton Library on the third Tuesday each month to discuss the book of the month. This club will be enjoyed by the new and seasoned graphic novel reader. Members can suggest reading ideas, interests, and discuss the world of the graphic novel. Fiction Fanatics Book Club – Navarre Library March 25, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Join us in the Navarre Library meeting room for stimulating conversations about popular works of fiction.
