Bands on Blackwater will take place both Friday  and Saturday evenings, showcasing an eclectic lineup of local musical talent. Friday’s concert will feature the music of The Reunion Band at 7 p.m., while on Saturday at 5 p.m. The Bad JuJu band will take the stage on South Willing St.

The Barbecue on the Blackwater contest will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It  is expected to  become one of the most popular contests in the area. Backyard barbecuers will be competing in two divisions: pulled pork and pork ribs. The coveted People’s Choice award will be granted to the best of the best. Anyone interested competing should e-mail the Knights of Columbus at miltoninmaybbq@gmail.com for more information.

Blackwater WaterFest will run from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday featuring waterslides for children under 12 years old.

The Camp Fire Car Show will start loading at 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning and will bring out the biggest gearheads from across Northwest Florida.
