Milton Police Department help seniors to fight fraud at Lunch and Learn

Published on August 27, 2018 with No Comments

Fraud is a huge problem across America.

According to LifeLock, there were 16.7 million identity theft victims across America that accounted for $16.8-billion stolen in 2017.

Identity theft is just one form of fraud we see today and one of the biggest targets for fraud are the elderly in our country.

To help educate seniors, the Milton Police Department will talk about Senior Fraud at the Milton Senior Program’s Lunch and Learn that will be held on Sept. 5 at 11 a.m. at the Guy Thompson Community Center.

This program, held the first Wednesday of each month, covers a wide variety of topics ranging from health issues, senior safety, and so much more.

A free lunch is provided and seating is limited, so we ask that you RSVP for this event by Aug. 31st. You can RSVP by calling 983-5466.
