Men in Action hold ribbon cutting at Milton Community Center

Men in Action (MIA) Outreach held a ribbon cutting Thursday, July 17, at the Milton Community Center as new members of the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce

MIA is a non-profit organization providing mentoring and enrichment programs for middle and high school youth in Santa Rosa County and the surrounding areas.

The mission of MIA is to improve academic achievement, self-esteem , social competence, and avoidance of high-risk behavior in the at-risk youth (ages 11 to 18) of Santa Rosa County and the surrounding area.

Men in Action has a goal to helping children when it comes to the challenges and vulnerable circumstances they might face by giving them the tools to make healthy life choices, set realistic goals and build successful lives for themselves.

MIA focuses on five program areas:

  • Tutoring Services
  • Life-Skills Development
  • Career Development
  • Recreational Activities
  • Community Service

Individuals can support Men in Action by volunteering, becoming a mentor, and through financial support by donations.
