Volunteers needed for Emergency Shelters

Published on May 01, 2015 with No Comments

How can you help others stay safe during a Hurricane?  Dozens of shelter workers will be needed to support displaced families during and after a storm, and you can be there to provide shelter, food, support and hope.  The American Red Cross and RSVP are teaming up to host a training for Emergency Sheltering in Santa Rosa County.  The purpose of this course is to prepare participants to assist in the opening, organizing, operation and closing of a Red Cross shelter.  Participants will then have the opportunity to sign up to work in a shelter during the 2015 Hurricane Season.

This training is great for groups, families, or individuals that want to serve their community.
