Council recognizes Milton Detective Steve Mistovich, Jr.

The Milton City Council recognized Milton Detective Steve Mistovich, Jr. He was commended for a job well done concerning a homicide investigation which took over a year and a half to come to trail. Chief Tony Tindell said of Mistovich at the meeting, “Steve maintained under pressure. He took no short cuts, he did precise work and interviewed over 35 witnesses in the case. There were 3 defendants in the investigation. He did this all himself.” Tindell also indicated the case lead to an intense trial. He told the council he’d received a letter from the foreman of the jury commending Mistovich of his dedication to the job. Mistovich has served Milton Police Department since 2010.

  1. Detective Mistovich is Model of gentleman to be looked up to off duty. You will never find anyone that displays a higher quality of respect and consideration than Detective Mistovich. He is one in a million, there is non better. Noble Yeager Tuscaloosa,Alabama

  2. I’ve known this man all my life. He loves what he does and is an example of what dedication looks like. Short-cuts would never have been an option in his investigation. Congratulations Steve
